I love going to this place, I go about once a week. The food tastes great, love the salsa here the best around IMHO. The prices are good and they have specials everyday. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is that the restaurant building could definitely use some TLC.

Food was delicious!! Only thing I didn't like was the chips. The sauce was perfect, the tortillas were homemade, and the food perfectly well-seasoned. I had the chicken fajita plate, highly recommend!

I've been coming here for over 5 years I order breakfast tacos every friday and they are the best in San Antonio! Try the Texas plate for lunch, so good!!

Took a very long time like 45 minutes to get food and 30 minutes in they said they were out of pancakes! Very bad experience and not very good food. Would not go to the same waiter again.

Inexpensive, clean, fast and very good food. Our current go-to lunch spot.

Always have loved the food and service here! Try the Jalisco burrito or Chile Relleno 🙂

My goodness the T-Bone with the ranchero sauce on top was heavenly. I normally dont eat the fat around the pork chop but dam that was so good! The hand-made tortillas are amazing with the meals. The breakfast they offer is also amazing. The inside is well maintained and clean amazing staff, customer service and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I suggest at least trying it once it is worth the bang in your buck. The exterior of the building needs work and also the name of the place is faded out but it makes it up in its delicious food.👍

Food was cold and so was inside the building. Waitress was nice though.

The food is amazing. There's a long wait, but it's worth the wait. I love the Mixed Fajitas, but my mother says that if anyone comes, she recommends number 17 (Plato Jose.)

This place was horrible we went on Easter Sunday ordered and unsweet tea it tasted like nasty water ended up ordering a water tasted way better there was a whole bayleaf in my burrito that they forgot to take out the restrooms were dirty! And they're food was just bland! Never will come here again!!!

Sure I consider this place a hole in the wall, but their food is exceptionally great. The workers are very friendly and make y'all fill right at home. I can see that they continue to improve the cleanliness and to me that means a lot.

Always good food and good service. Lent options on Fridays is great and traditional.

I ordered their Special which was a Brisket Plate w/tea for $8.99 and what I got was nothing but brisket lard. 95% of it was all FAT, no lie. Never ordering that again. The food is Usually fabulous. Not sure what happened today. So my rating shot from a 5 star to 1 star. Even after a 25% discount. Should have been free. Time to move on.

Of the 3 Tex/Mex restaurants that are within 5 minutes (or less) of my workplace, this had always been my favorite. Even their horchata is the best tasting, hands down!

Fast service, great food!

Old building, not much as far as commercially fancy or anything, but the food was EXCELLENT! I had the beef fajita plate. Refried beans tasted homemade, corn tortillas were handmade, I even really liked the rice (and I usually don't at most places). Service was fast, salsa really good. Highly recommend this establishment!

The menudo here is really good I loved it. I couldnt stop eating it and the broth is really good and tasty great spices are mixed really well making an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The waitresses are friendly and make me feel right at home. I really recommend this place.

You can believe the people that say ignore how the place looks and believe in the quality of the food. Super friendly staff. Great experience and really great food. The portions are very generous. The chips and salsa are great, little spicy but still really good. I got the mini tacos and added a couple extra and split them half chicken half steak and they are amazing. The grill onions were phenomenal. My wife got a dinner plate and she really enjoyed it. I'll probably be stopping by for lunch or dinner and I would recommend people trying it as well.

I love how everytime I go there they already know my order and don't even bother giving a menu or ask cause they already know.

Despite this place being so ugly on the outside it was really quite a good lunch. It starts with chips and salsa as usual and the salsa was very spicy which I liked. I ended up getting the chicken enchiladas and my wife the chicken quesadilla. We both felt the chicken was really good and the food itself was decent for the price. Despite not being able to understand the waiter he was quite attentive as well. Your good place to grab a quick bite at lunch off base

For my first experience here I have to say the tacos,tortillas were great, but the salsa could be a bit spicier.

This is about as authentic Mexican food as you can get. Phenomenal. Tortillas are made from scratch. Doesn't get any better, and it's super cheap.
